Erkenntnis und Evolution

This volume provides an overview of many schools of thought which were established or influenced by Karl Popper, including the theory of the social sciences that successfully uses his "principle of rationality," his standards of science as a kind of primer for all future universities, as well as his cultural criticism which destroyed both the "myth of the framework" and the flourishing culture of untruth. It also defines his overcoming of materialism in physics and philosophy along with his new theory of evolution which gained foothold in biology only years after his death. The essays presented here show his much criticized theory of three worlds, his unfathomed theory of propensities, and, lastly, his cosmology as the evolution from light lo life, and from first life to ever-growing knowledge. Each essay is a defence of science and rationality and contributes to a new view of the world we live in.
